Tea Complements

Sloane Tea Company is delighted to have discovered a perfect complement to our line of exceptional teas.  Direct from the South of France, we bring you one of the sweetest secrets that exist- Sweet Violettas and Rococo Roses.  Sloane Tea Company is privileged enough to work with the sole remaining company in Southern France to produce such delicious works of art.

The violets and love roses are collected each winter and at the commencement of spring.  After the stems are removed and the flowers cleansed, they are then dried.  The flowers are then immersed in a bath of heated sugar syrup, and a truly magical transformation starts to take place.   

Upon exiting the syrup bath, the delicate flowers are powdered with a fine sugar so as to form a crystallized sugar shell.  Each precious flower is then let to dry in a moisture-controlled environment.  The intensive procedure of immersing the flowers in a bath of heated sugar syrup and allowing them to dry in the free air is repeated numerous times until the desired texture is achieved.   

The crystallized violets and love roses that Sloane Tea Company is most pleased to offer are brought directly from this very company that we delight in dealing with.  These sweet delicacies- Sweet Violettas and Rococo Roses are intended to be used as a sugar to complement one of our many exceptional teas.    

You may savour the sweet flavour of the sugars by leaving a single piece on the inside of your cheek, sipping that exceptional cup of tea, and allowing the heat of the tea to slowly extract the sweetness of the sugar, sip by sip.  If you prefer a bolder flavour, indulge in the full sweetness of the crystallized flower all at once.
